February – A month in Instagrams

February has been a busier month than usual, it’s usually when we’re at shows, meeting with buyers to present next years collections and this year we have a couple of interesting projects in the pipeline too! We’ve traveled the breadth of the country, all the way down to London and back up again in a matter of days and seen a lot of beautiful countryside in it’s most beautiful wintery state.

So here is our month in Instagrams.

Instagram - Orkney to London

(From top, left to right.)

1/ Natalie and Matt from Living in Clips featured our blankets, shawls and scarves in their latest blog posts. With highlands-based photographer Steven Gallacher, Matt and Natalie went off out to the mountains at Glen Sheil. Matt and Natalie both live in Paris and Matt offers a really interesting perfective on city life vs remote life.

Natalie also shows you some Storm Doris-proof and ingenious ways of wrapping up in our Brackish Shawl.

2/ We’ve been getting out and about at the weekends, putting new designs and styles to the test, against the Atlantic winds. In winter in Orkney it can often feel like you are at mercy of the weather – and it’s nice to get out in the elements to prove that feeling wrong!

3/Our Elska shawl has been keeping lots of you warm this winter. Here are our favourite customers photos  here, here and here.

4/ A trip to London this month was as packed and fast paced as always. We presented our AW17 collection at Scoop at the Saatchi Gallery at the start of the month. Not much time to play, but plenty accomplished and we love soaking in the city buzz.

5/ One of our favourite colours. We spot this colour where every we go, whether it’s in the harbour in Stromness or our favourite shops in London.

6/ A brief chance to get out and about in the Highlands on our way back from London. Altnaharra.

7/ The sweetest Shetland Ponies are also the hardiest!

8/ Finding new places to explore in a small place.

9/ We’re seeing signs of Spring from our favourite Instagrammers (see our favourites at Me & Orla, Circle of Pines, and Flea & Bear) but winter is still very much here in Orkney so we just have to wrap up warm and get on with it.
